A comprehensive checkup of your dog to ensure they remain happy and healthy.
A fecal test is a very important tool that helps our team determine whether your pet has intestinal parasites. A stool sample is examined under a microscope to confirm whether parasites are present. A urinalysis is a visual and microscopic examination of your pet’s urine. A urinalysis (UA) will assess the health of your pet’s urinary system, including whether an infection is present.
Yearly fecal examinations will help us to identify and treat parasitic infections that may be affecting you and your pet’s health. A fecal exam can reveal whether your pet has unwanted visitors such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, coccidia and giardia. Based on your pet’s lifestyle and age, fecal examinations may be recommended more often than yearly.
If an infection is present, our veterinarian will recommend the best possible treatment plan for your pet which may include antibiotics, pain medication and a special diet.
